Hope For a Cure
Recently, Bobby and Lisa Smith (Haley's mother & father), made a community-wide plea for outside help in an article published by the Rappahannock Record. The plea is not just for her daughter, but to raise awareness about Dravet Syndrome, also known as SMEI (Severe Myoclonic Epilepsy of Infancy). Please join Haley's family in promoting awareness and research so one day children afflicted by this condition will have a better chance of receiving effective long-term treatment and/or therapy.
As our journey continues, we would like to give many thanks and blessings to all those who have come forth with donations of time, support, and/or money. It is our goal to generate support and funding for the research necessary to better diagnose and treat this illness.
